Fun fact about our family – amongst the four of us, we only have two birthdays as one daughter shares my birthday, while the other shares my husband’s. My birthday is mid-February and typically falls around President’s Day weekend — which is makes it very easy for an extended weekend birthday trip. 2018 found us traveling to Asheville for the big b-day celebration. Over the years, when we have traveled for birthdays, I have enjoyed researching bakeries from which to order a cake and the peanut butter fudge beauty I found for this particular birthday was one of the best we have had. The weekend was COLD and RAINY, which was not the best weather for Asheville which as dog friendly as you can get – when the weather cooperates. We managed to enjoy the weekend, find some great food and spent some down time playing games and getting R&R in our cabin, which was fantabulous!
