Since my first trip to NYC was just my mother and myself, I was determined that the first trip there for my girls would be a mother-daughter trip. It was so much fun introducing my girls to my favorite place in NYC – Central Park. We hit all the high spots on this trip: the Statue of Liberty, The Today Show, Times Square, Little Italy and Chinatown, and, of course, saw a Broadway musical! We stayed on the Upper West Side, during the week before the Tony’s – which is an absolutely beautiful time to visit. The weather is just about perfect, not yet too hot and not too cool. Our trip started out a bit rainy and cool but that did not dampen our spirits. The girls enjoyed this trip, which was a graduation trip for one, that the very next year, when my youngest graduated, we visited again – with dad. But that first trip, with just us girls was the perfect introduction to NYC!
